Meet Dan Bowen, host of the AI Education podcast and Technology Strategist working with schools and school systems. With a background in education as a teacher, governor, and school inspector, as well as experience in higher education as a blended learning advisor, Dan brings a unique perspective to the show. He has also worked at Microsoft, where he served as the product manager for Office 365 in Education, the STEM education lead, and managed the Minecraft portfolio for Australia. In his current role, Dan focuses on Azure, Windows, and devices and helps schools drive educational transformation through the use of technology. His interest in artificial intelligence stems from both the practical applications and implementation of AI as well as the importance of educating and empowering IT professionals to harness its capabilities. Dan is particularly interested in the social and ethical uses of AI in education and is excited to share his insights and bring together experts on the AI Education podcast.

Lee Hickin, Microsoft

With over 27 years of experience in the IT industry, Lee has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in leading-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence. He has worked in Asia, the UK, and Australia, holding various roles including a CISSP certified security architect with RSA Security and Tivoli, leading the IoT business development team across APAC with Amazon Web Services, and serving as the CTO for Microsoft Australia. As CTO, Lee helps customers navigate their digital transformation journey through the adoption of intelligent cloud services like AI, IoT, machine learning, and cognitive services. He is a strong advocate for the positive potential of AI and a regular speaker on topics such as cloud technology, innovation, and driving digital transformation. Jerwin Parker, Microsoft

Podcast Manager: Jerwin Parker Roberto (Innovation Program Manager DSAM - Microsoft Solution Assessments) 

Jerwin Parker Roberto is the Podcast Manager and the Business Innovation Program Manager for the ANZ Solution Assessments team at Microsoft. He has a strong background in education marketing, having previously served as the Education Marketing Coordinator for Microsoft ANZ. Jerwin is a triple degree graduate from the University of Technology, Sydney, where he completed a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, and a Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (Honours) in less than five years. He has a keen interest in artificial intelligence, having contributed to the Human Rights and Technology project, and is passionate about driving impact and awareness through the AI Education podcast. Jerwin works closely with Dan, Lee, and Beth to bring valuable insights and inspiration to the show.
